About this level

This level will suit you if you work in a traffic office as a clerk or assistant with duties such as issuing and collecting vehicle keys and routes, monitoring route scheduling and fuel usage and conducting post-journey reports and checks.

To achieve the Level 2 Certificate in Traffic Office (3438-05), learners must complete all 22 credits from the mandatory units. Units include:

  • Identify suitable collection or delivery points
  • Routing and scheduling of loads
  • Monitor vehicle movements
  • Contribute to the provision of customer service in logistics operations.

Level 3

About this level

Level 3 will suit you if you work in a traffic office and have a great deal of technical skills and knowledge. You work with minimum supervision and have a good record of safety, fault correction and meeting required standards. You'd like to progress to frontline management.

This qualification comprises four mandatory and a range of optional units, including:

  • Post-journey reports and checks
  • Produce costings for freight transport
  • International road transport operations.
